Default Antenna question

Hey guys, I just recently installed a new Pioneer deck, everything went fine, except that whenever I turn on the radio my antenna won't go up. I know the wire for the antenna is green with yellow stripe on the harness, but how should I go about raising it up when the radio is on.

I had this problem when I put in my Pioneer head unit. I don't remember offhand which wire on the unit I connected to power the antenna, but it was light blue. I would go look, but there's a monsoon right now and I'm lazy. I've had it hooked up this way for over a year now with no problems. Good luck.

screw the antenna....it looks retarted heeping off the back of an integra trunk. I purposley cut my antenna wire when I got a new deck. I still get excellent radio reception. Best of both worlds

had the same problem when it was professionally installed. I took it back and they did it in less than 10 min!

I'm getting my XM though soon! The shop has a blow-out sale, the kit is selling for $20 after rebate (The unit + the brain)!!!

I had the same problem with my pioneer head unit. I ended up buying a s2k antenna (not a power antenna) from honda for $27, and an install kit for $15 from a fellow HT'er. Install took 45mins. Looks a lot better in my opinion. good luck either way.

yea, i ran into the same problem when installing my pioneer head unit with my 6 channel amp... but after a little figuring out... i hooked up the brown/white from the oem harness to the blue/white or blue from the radio harness, but then again it also depends on the year of your car as well since the 97+ harness is different than years before it..
