do you just need to know the whole process? or are you just not sure about bypassing the cltch switch? i can help out either way.

assuming you need to know how the whole process goes

first, you'll need a wiring diagram in order to hook all the right wires. (ie: starter, ignition, constant 12v, brake, etc.) make sure you've got a good set of auto-strippers and crimpers, it will make your job alot easier.

next get a drop/shop light, you will be on your back and upside down and in the dark for most of this job.
if this is an alarm unit, make sure to loom or wrap up your wires nicely to look inconspicuous and mount the "brain" somewhere other than right in plain sight, so if a theif got in your car, he'd have a little trouble findind the brain. the passenger side is a nice choice.

most of all, make sure you have the right parts and tools!

any questions on the specifics, or getting a diagram on the car...PM or email me.

ok i have a hanes repiar man with all the wiring diagrams and strippers, tools, etc.. i need more help with the viper unit itself eveything is hooked up but the remote start. what i need to know is what wires do what from the alarm. do have to use a channel operation (5,6 etc..like it could go to a sunroof or so) or the three green wires that are listed- starter wire common/starter wire normaly open/ starter wire normaly closed.

the other channels go to nothing, unless you know know how to wire up relays and window modules or the like. the 3 greens go nowhere on a honda, unless adding some other relays that require a starter input. if youve got everything wired up..all you should need to do...in theory, is program the unit, make sure you set it to run in "tachless" mode if you havent tapped a tach signal wire, if you havem you need to learn the tach signal in the programming mode.

edit** figured out your green wires for ya....just wire it up like so...

ignition switch --------x x----------starter motor
...............................
..............................
..............green/white green/black

so..cut the starter wire, run green/white to key side and green/black to motor side.

you do NOT need to use your H2 harness, with the extra channel outputs.

umm.. ok it is all hooked up... ill get to work on it
i guessin now that i have to get like a piggy back for the alarm. because im think mabye its not made with it that remote start option. that would explain why it has absolutily no directions for it. but it is on the box and in the owners guide just not it the instilllation guide umm..ill figure it out. if anymore questions come i know where to go.

you do NOT need to use the solid Green wire on the immobilizer harness (Starter Wire Normally Open) just cut it off the harness. Civics and most cars in general use a Normally Closed circuit for the starter wire. if you are talking about the solid Green wire on the main (H1) harness, that's the Negative Door Trigger input and would be wired to the wire that drops volatge out to ground when the doors are open, and plays a pretty big role in actually protecting your car.

also, the Viper 1000 is not a remote start unit, just keyless entry and security.

for 92-95 civics the door trigger is

Door Trigger\\lt. green/red\\driver kick panel

for 96-00 civics

Door Trigger\\ lt. green/red\\factory alarm plug

both are negative trigger

if you want to add Remote Start...which i don't recommend on a Manual tranny car, for safety reasons, you can just buy a Viper 130XV unit and piggy back it to work with your 1000.
