Default remove air conditioning?

i need help removing my ac. i know how to remove all the hard components, but im not sure how to discharge the stuff inside. yes i know its illegal, but is there a valve or something i can turn that prohibits the stuff from spraying everywhere, or do i just need to unbolt some bolts and let it come out. i removed ac one time from an integra and didnt know about that stuff and it scared the **** outta me when all this white smoke went spraying everywhere.

yea its illegal but on my car i mean my 'friends' car there is a little blue cap theres two actually and it looks like a valve stem on a tire just push that button down with a long screwdriver and keep your face away or you can crack a bolt loose some where in the system but you dont know where its gonna spray.

The right way is to recover the refrigerant. This means gages, recovery machine and recovery tank. Other ways include, loosening the schrader valves found in the hi/lo side access ports or loosening one of the flare nuts like e jay one posted.

The slower you open the system the smaller your mess will be. Opening the lo side of the system (big line) will make less of a mess than opening the high side (smaller lines).

im not sure what year your car is, but for all the liberal enviromental *****, most cars use R-134 and not R-12, you could release all the 134 you want and it wont do **** to the ozone layer. you should be more concerned about all these cars running w/o cats....
