Reinstalling Airbags
You have to disconnect the battery to reinstall the airbags anyway. So whenever you reconnect the battery, the computer will reset itself. Disconnect the battery, bolt the airbag in, connect the wires, reattach the battery, start the car & let it idle until the radiator fan comes on. That's it.
the SRS unit needs to be reset to turn the light off - disconnectiong the battery will not do it. Which year/model are we talking? Were the airbags deployed? If so- depending on the year you need to replace the SRS unit.
Fixhondas - good to see ya!
Would there be a reason why I didn't have to reset the SRS unit? Or am I recalling incorrectly, and I did, indeed have to reset it?

I am not 100% sure- maybe on older models disconnecting the battery might clear it But I know for a fact that at least 94 and up Accords and 92 and up civics must be reset through a procedure in the book with a jumper/connector.
