P72-003 vs P72-A01 Question
I have not been able to find good information on the difference if any between these two ecu's in the HT archives, or elsewhere. I bought a p72-003 to replace the p72-A01 stolen recently from my 1995 GSR. Its supposed to be for a jdm obd1 GSR. Is the vtec engagement the same? I read here somewhere that the JDM ecu has a slightly different fuel map. The car seems to be running a little different. Also if J stands for Japan, and A stands for America what does Zero(003) stand for? How could this be JDM? Also in one post someone wrote that the JDM b18c1 GSR motor doesnt have a vtec pressure switch. Would this mean that a JDM ecu for same engine does not recognize a vtec pressure switch? My vtec was not working consistently and apparently is now. Thanks

The Honda Tech archive needs an answer to this question. Google needs one to.
The car works fine, and Im stuck with this ECU but at least we can answer this question
for someone who is about to buy a p72-003.
*** I lost my A01 due to theft. I would like to announce the GSR Network. It comes in on channel 4 from dusk to dawn. It features the interior of my car in full color with nightvision. I bought an ebay wireless video camera for $40. Its coming in through about about 50ft of house, and it has to broadcast out of my car. This is about the limits of good reception for this thing, but it does work as advertised.
