I am in the process of shopping for new wheels and i don't want to buy fake ones. How can i tell if the Si wheels i am getting are real or not?

also i would assume real honda wheels would have some sort of part number or even the honda name stamped onthe inside of the wheel

i bought OEM replacement gsr blades from ebay once. and they were pretty good. Quality was on par with OEM.. and they have been holding up pretty good. Honestly, if i was given a choice on whether to buy two rims, one OEM and one aftermarket for the same price, same condition, i wouldnt care less which one i have.
Yes, you can tell the difference. On the back of the spokes, for OEM, it'll say Honda. thats' bout it.

true, they are abundant, but its becoming increasingly more difficult to find sets that are in mint/new condition.
All the 99-00 Si (Canadian SiR) rims are 5-6 years old with some wear and tear.

Fake Si, gsr blades, mesh, etc, rims are good in my opinion. Anything that drives competition for the consumer is good, especially when the difference is so minimal, if not nonexistant.
FYI, i bought those wheels. (not that exact auction, but the same guy over a month ago). the wheels are gorgeous... i don't know what the difference is, they are OEM factory replacements. I liked them so much i upgraded the wife's CRV wheels from the LX to EX style. i went with the same guy.
his wheels are the cheapest you are going to find for a new set, he packages them very well, and they are beautiful. i give this guy two thumbs up... PM me if you want more info. who cares if they are real Si wheels or not? they look the same, weight the same, but are half the price.... roll with it!

yep, but if the wheels are on the car, you can't tell right away they are fake, thats what i meant. It is obvious this seller is selling an aftermarket replacement because he is stating it.
seems like agood idea to me, cause i know for a fact that those wheels are NOT abundant....nor are the gsr and other wheels from popular hondas.
i bet if you swapped over the honda center cap no one would ever know they were not oem wheels.

its cause htey cannot license it. the honda repair shop i work at occasionally does repair work using aftermarket replacement body panels and they usually dont have any honda logo, acura logo...or for example dont say integra on the rear bumper.
