I have a bone stock '91 CRX HF and this winter I had no heat. It sucked here in Chicago. With today being one of the only nice days so far, I decided to do some investigating. I let the car run for 15 minutes, felt the lower radiator hose, and it was cold. The upper was warm. Then I took it for a spirited 10 minute cruise around the block and tried again.
The lower hose was still cold and the upper was hot. What would cause that? A blocked heater core? I dunno. Help me out.
TIA
-Steve

ya check it out buy turning in side and out side if it works good then take it out of the car and check it that way if all is good take off other heater core hose and flush out the core also the check if BOTH fans are on there ius a lever under the pass side dash in the center of the car
could be your thermostat stuck closed
youll find out really quick if you car starts to run hot/overheat now that spring is here.

I forgot, but I did a little test about 2 weeks ago when I was picking up my fiancee from the train station.
I was 45 minutes early, so I just chilled in the car. I left in running so I could listen to the radio and was playing with the temp ****. The temperature of the air coming out of the vents didn't change, so I'm assuming that the cable from the **** came off.
I am just confused because there is still tension when I turn the ****. Oh well, next nice day, time to rip apart a center console.
