Default obd conversion question

ok.....when I got my car it had an oil pressure guage installed in it...this gauge is just plummed into the spot right above the oil filter (which I believe is the position of the knock sensor) and I can see I have a little plug just hanging out down there not connected to anything. How come I get no check engine codes?? Also on the JK obd conversion harness I am suppose to connect one of the wires to the knock sensor. Would I run into problems leaving it not hooked up seemings how my car runs pretty perfect right now??

Does the plug have a yel/red wire? If so then that went to the oil pressure switch. The previous owner must have removed it to install the oil pressure gage

D16a6 doesn't have a knock sensor and the p28 doesn' t look for it.

Werd. No knock sensor required for the P28 ecu.

Sorry I am just confused...on my JK conversion harness it says I need to hook one of the wires into the one wire sensor just above the oil filter....,.I figured it was the knock sensor.....there is another sensor right above my oil filter with two wires comin out of it....sorry I am a noob....so I guess I just don't have to worry about hooking that wire up and I will be good right

That is used for reference about the general location of where a knock sensor is. It also says in your instructions that the knock sensor wire may not be needed and in your case it is not.
