yeah my alternator died and im replacing it. i got all the bolts off but there is no room for the alternator to drop through. how do k take it out?

 

c'mon bumps...someone tell me how...im out of ideas.

 

is it a b series?? i got mine thru the driver side top...i just pulled it up and yanked it out cuzz i couldnt get it thru the bottom/

 

old hatch had a d15b. I unbolted my P/S.....something forgot what it is to pull it out. Wasn't coming out any other way.
Just topped the fuild up after.

 

no actually its a d series but a b-series should be harder to get out. i'll just see if i can yank it out. its such a bitch. well when you do replace the alternator do you need a fully charged battery?? or can i just jump it?

 

I just jumped it. New alternator recharged my battery so it was good as new.
