MY LS INTEGRA WONT GO OVER 120MPH
You smoked a WRX in an LS? A nicely modded LS maybe, but if you were modded out, I think you would know about speed limiters.
I am not sure what the gearing on an LS allows the top speed to be, but I am going to guess that it is higher than 120. So you probably ran into the spped limiter. Did the car shudder or lose power at all once you hit 120?

the only speed limiter is the rev-limiter...........the LS engine doesnt have enough power stock or lightly modded to push through the LS 5'th gear in the tranny.
120-130 is probably the most you can go unless you have a 70+mile stretch on a slight down hill with the wind pushing you and no traffic on the road.....then you MIGHT be able to hit 140-150ish

i had my LS up to 140mph with a GS-R tranny........according to the SAFC i was at 6900rpm in 5'th gear........
i'm sure a GS-R can go faster in 5'th since it has a 8100rpm redline.......i would imagine the top speed would be arounf 150-155mph if the engine made enough power to pupoo poo to that speed.

ive had my LS up to 133 it had more in it but you know those damn state troopers hate that kind of speed and usually chase u (they did that to me) haha
i only pushed mine once that hard, but on the freeway... got up to 120 and it slowed down all of a sudden.
its a governer or fuel cutoff or something... but given enough room you can reach even higher speeds, BUT it just suddenly stop accelerating as fast.
I also read that the speed is governed at 120 on auto ls's and 130 on manual ls's. On gsr's, it like 135 or 140. So it is a governer, just modify the ecu... whether it be a ghetto fab chip or a completely reprogrammed ecu... or a Hondata... it should all be able to get rid of the governer. It all has to be programmed to do that, by the way... not all will.

I believe you might have had the WRX toward the start, but up to 120 MPH? no, his TT would have had plenty of time to open up a can of whoop ***.
My LS gets to 120, has a little trouble (gearing and torque curve), and then picks up again. Never had it over 142 MPH. I have heard of the auto's not going over 120, but wouldn't that be b/c an auto is a 4 speed? The rest of us have another gear.

All Japanese cars are speed limited by law to 112 mph. Some US Accords and Civics are also limited to this speed. The symptoms are a hard fuel cutoff. When the speed drops 3-5 mph, the engine switches on again.
If this is the case and your Integra ECU is 96-98, then it can be chipped.

i have a 94 teg and my fuel cutoff hard when i hit ~110 mph in 4th. then it came back on afte a little deceleration. so it was exactly as hondata described it.
