Default My LS makes very little Low End power...

OK, well my LS makes very little low end power. If im first gear below like 2500 rpm, and i give it 100% throttle, you dont even feel the car jerk? The car will just gradually start going faster.... I even drove my brothers b16, and that thing jumped alot more than my LS. I also drove another LS which felt much more powerful than mine.

The only mods to my car are 2.5" cat-back and b16 tranny. ~180 Compression across the board. What can be the problem?

you don't drive a dc2. *reference sig AIM name* you drive an LS = dc4

ohhh boo hoo hoo.. stop your crying bitch. he's asking a question about power.. not if his chassis code is correct. post *****.

anyways, how's the clutch on the car? might be slipping, which isnt making full contact when you give it gas to make more power.

and you're absolutly sure about the compression. right? how long ago did you check it?

My Ls dosen`t jerk when i floor it at 2500, it would jerk if i tap it though. If you want more low-end, I will get a T3 turbo, JR supercharger, or something not built by Honda . 180 sounds good, i had perfect balance at 175 psi across the board. These motors make good midrange, but don`t really pick up until after 4 grand and arent in full swing untill ~5500

clutch is fine, only a few months old. I did the compression test a week ago.

used to be a GSR and is now an LS?

my car seemed to develop a hole in the torque band with the 2.25 exhaust and no other mods that needed more flow capacity (yet). it is from about 2300 to 3300.

You guys are ridiculous. Quit giving him **** about his chassis code, I own a DA yet my screen name says EJ1... because I used to own an EJ1 and haven't changed my name. So quick to point out other people's flaws. BTW, a friend of mine owns a GSR that has an LS motor in it... it's still a GSR, it just has a B18B.

Did you just recently put the motor in the car and it's been doing this the whole time, or did you just notice a loss of power one day?

Anyway, you should feel more power, especially with that B16 transmission, you should be taking off in 1st. I second the timing belt idea... you might want to take the valve cover off and turn the motor over with a socket and ratchet and see if all the marks on the cam gears line up with the timing marks on the t-belt cover... could've slipped a tooth if your timing belt is worn or loose.

holy **** what is wrong with the people on ht. they feel the need to go around flaming people. just because i try and help somebody out people call me a post *****. who by doing so, are whoring the thread as well. there are plenty of people that didn't know the difference between a dc2 and a dc4.

Most likely theft recovery (like mine) because nobody in the right mind would swap in a B18B.

04's

anyway... I am just wondering the mileage on your car... just because yor sig says '94 so that car might have some miles on it... compression is good, but I'm thinking more along the lines of exhaust restriction...

when I got my '94 LS the resonator had so much **** in it (you could here it rattle around) that the car felt sluggish... when the exhaust was replaced, car felt much peppier...

yeah, my car is the same way. when i floor it below 2500 rpm, the car doesn't seem to kick in as hard until i get to about 3500 rpm. car just feels like i'm not even stepping on the gas. i checked my compression about a month ago and got 170-185.
