Default Help Removing Coilover Sleeves from Shocks!

99 Civic
Current setup: Tokico Illuminas with Skunk2 Coilovers
Old setup: Tokico HP's with Skunk2 Coilovers

My sleeves are stuck to the rear shocks! The fronts came off with no problems.

My old setup used Tokico HP (blues). To get the coilover sleeve to sit snugly, I used electrical tape in layers. I could not get the supplied Skunk2 o-rings to stay in place for the install so I used the electrical tape. I've read that others used the same. The sleeves slid on with a little grease and sat firmly. Anyway, that was 3 years ago and now I cannot remove the two. I guess enough dirt has sunk in between to basically glue the two together.

I'm using my friend's old Dropzone sleeves with my Skunk2 springs on the Illuminas for now, but due to thread damage I can't raise my car in the rear.

The only solutions I have found in the archives is "get a BFH" but I've tried. I'm only going to end up damaging the perches or threads if I keep trying.

Is there anything I can do to loosen the two? The front came off with no problems so I was really shocked when I did the rears and they would not budge.

Any help is greatly appreciated!
