i think you are a full member, its like 20 days or something.

i'm sorry, i don't know much about hid's, but i do know that the lights don't suck that much if theres nothing wrong with them.

one of my lights has water in it, and its like almost half as bright as my other one. (i'm lazy and don't feel like taking it apart when its cold out) also, a bad connection will really cause problems like that, too.

sorry i can't help with the hid's.

I run H4 Hid's in my EF, of course I have the JDM EF9 headlight so it utilizes the entire headlight as opposed to half of it and the ef9 lenses are flute style so the reflectors create a really wide beam for the hid which has its advantages and disadvantages. Either way HID's are a huge improvement over stock.

before you decide to go HID, try a 9005 bulb conversion. I did it about a week ago with some sylvania silverstars and there is a HUGE difference in lighting. Definitely worth a try for 40-50 bucks and 20 minutes of your time. Price is a bit steep but it was definitely worth it. Much better than spending 350+ for the real hid conversion in my book.

Plus, bulb only aftermarket HIDs are illegal. By law, if you have HIDs, you must have the housing that is supposed to go with them. This is because normal headlight housings arent made for HID application and just end up blinding other drivers.

The 9005 conversion is also illegal but plenty of people do it. I do agree though with trying that upgrade first as most people are quite happy when they do it. Oh and as for $350.00 for hid's? I paid $270.00 Canadian for my Mcullough kit brand new.

high beems in the low beem spot?

Its only illegal if you get caught, And if you adjust them right so they dont blind oncoming cars, i dont see how you would get caught

"Only illegal if you get caught" Yes thats generally how it works and its the same things with everything else including HID's.

I think cops harrass you more if they see a old as civic with HIDS.

Compared to some bright dull headlights.

how could the 9005's be illegal in the low beams if there are cars that actually come stock with those in the low beams?

Because that particulat model never came OEM equipped that way, just because something is legal on one car doesnt make it legal on another car or model.
