Car problem, anyone have any idea?
I have a '01 Integra GSR.
While driving to work in 5th gear, I was going around 100mph. As soon as the rpm's got near the vtec region my car sputtered and it seemed like it was losing power, then the check engine light came on. It's been on since, and whenever I get above 100mph in 5th gear the car seems to sputter. I can drive normal but once I reach higher speeds I get the sputtering action and start to lose power. Does anyone have any ideas what this could be?

I don't even know how to pull the code...sorry if I sound like an idiot but can anyone shed some light on how to do so? Do I need to go to a shop or can I do it from home?
I checked the oil level, the oil is always kept in good condition because my uncle owns a lube shop. Was there a way I could check the code it was throwing here? or do I need to go somewhere with proper equipment?
Not sure about integras but in civics there is a little blue plug above the ECU in the floorboard, I unhooked that plug from under the glove box and before turning the key I placed a paper clip with both ends sticking in both holes of the plug then turning the key to on (not starting the car) the light comes on and blinks
Check your manual however many times the check engine light blinks that code is your problem, but if you have more than one code it will only shoe the first one that pops up fix that flash the codes again and see if theres another code
I had the same studder problem with my GSR swap in my civic my problem was the TPS (throttle position sensor) located on the throttle body
