Default Should i be worried?

So my 95 civic was leaking radiator fluid from the water pump/timing belt area, im assuming the water pump had a leak. So my dad said "lets take it to that shop down the street. So we get there and theres like 5 asian workers (30+ in age) and they have like 20 cars (customers). So right away i felt good about he place, that means they do a good job.

The manager walks out and i tell him the problem., he pops the hood and looks at the area from an overheard view (never loooked from under the car) and immediately said "yea, your gonna have to change the water pump". I said "shouldn't i just change the timing belt since youre gonna have to take it off anyways?" He said "yea". He quoted me 275 to change the water pump and timing belt. (which is a good price , almost too good to be true). It's being done right now, as i type this. What urks me is that he was kinda rushing me (i understand though) and said pick up the car in 3 hours. Isn't that kinda too fast, im assuming he has to get the parts first then install them. Now im kinda worried that he might just fix the leak in the water pump and tell me he put in a new pump and new timing belt.

So, when i pick up my car in 3 hours im gonna ask him to show me the original pump and timing belt, heh. Should i be worried?

No that sounds about right. If u have the right tools, its pretty quick. When I got my belt changed it took about 1.5 hours, and this was the work of my uncle at a honda/acura specialist. He was definately taking his time though

You can definately do a sohc timing belt in 3 hours. Make sure you pull your valve cover after and see whether or not the timing belt was actually changed. $275 is a good price but it isn't "too good to be true"

i just payed him a surprise visit. They hade my car up on a small ramp and had the valve cover and belts off, so it seems like they are doing the job right.

good if they do a good job make sure you give your friend's and other honda people a good a reliable location to have there cars worked on. I would pay 275 for pump and belt. how are your other belts?
