10.3 inch front brake swap...
hey all...
i'm wondering if a set of 10.3 inch front brakes will fit under the 14 inch stock 89 si rims? i know that my friend's 95 'teg has 10.3 inch front brakes and he has a set of 14 inch steelies on his car. so do you think they would fit under the 89 crx si rims?
also does anyone have the link to the page which shows the parts needed for the front brake swap and the rear disc brake swap? thanks again... peace...

how about 14 inch hx rims? would those fit? i'm really into the idea of keeping my wheels 14 inches 'cause i think anything past 15's look kinda goofy, but i'd also like the benefits of a larger set of front rotors. also would you recommend upgrading the master cylendar or brake booster? how about rear disc is there any advantage to this swap? or would i be ok with the front 10.3's and rear drums?
thanks guys... peace...

so what is the largest size brakes that will fit on a 15" wheel? I need to also upgrade mine but I'd like to
get the maximum stopping power out of the brakes.

Done the swap myself: from Stock SiR brakes --> 11,1" rotors+ITR calipers
As said before:
10,2" rotors + SiR calipers fit over 14x5,0" (stock rim/ steel)
11,1" rotors + ITR calipers need over 15"
NOTE: before the swap make sure the calipers don't come in contact with the rim (some designs+wrong offset WILL!!)

wait wait wait... so you're saying that any 14 inch wheel will fit over the 10.2 inch rotors with the sir calipers? so it will fit under the stock rim?

I have 90 civic EX knuckles, new 10.3" oem rotors and honda oem remanufactured calipers waiting for my HF to B swap. I assembled one knuckle with rotor and caliper and mounted one of my 88 Si alloys. Guess what? it fit fine! I think this has to do with which individual components a person uses. checkout http://www.g-speed.com/pbh/lite/

so you used 90 ex components and it all fit huh? well then that's what i need. as far as shaving off some of the caliper... i'm guessing it was some of the material around the outside of it, where it could contact the rim. where exactly and how much? what did you use to get the material off? thanks guys... you've been a big help
