WHICH SHIFTKNOB SHOULD I GET FOR MY 99 GSR
I have a 99 gsr and can't decide on which shift **** to get. I'am considering the oem integra type r, the skunk 2 weighed shift **** or perhaps just stick to my stock gsr shift ****. Any opinions are appreciated.
Skunk2 is good, blox is good ( both weighted ) Spoon is to light in my opinion, personally i like the stock GSR shiftknob ( 98+ leather stitched ) or the Skunk2
i love the weighted feel of the oem itr and the skunk2. i own the skunk2 and the feeling of shifting is great, especially with a short shifter. my only complaint is that it gets really cold in the winter and pretty hot in the summer.
only problem i have found with skunk2 shiftknob (and im sure similar ones) is that it gets really cold in the winter, and really hot in the summer....like ouch i cant touch this thing hot sometimes
just thought you may like to know
i vote stock ****

Skunk2 you will love the weight of the ****, the color and the red imprints on top. Authentic OEM JDM Integra Type R **** is tight. Spoon titanium with the blue top is tight. My fave is the Skunk2 because of the weight and ease of shift it provides..its hard to miss with that ****.

or you could go a different route and get the oem optional rsx 5spd **** from a base model.
looks almost identical to the itr **** only the shift pattern is in black. it's what i'm using. you can get a brand new one from the dealer for about $45

I love my shift **** and wouldnt trade it for anything. Its the perfect size, looks great with the stock black leather interior, and has the great feeling of the stiching.
The only thing I would trade it for is a new one. After 3 years, my **** is starting to do the standard color peel. Its not that noticible on mine, but some guys have the entire back/top peeled....

I like my s2k shift ****.. just has 6sp design on top. But I don't look at that. It looks and feels really solid.

Its not like its a for sale ad..others can still find this information useful, and he was just asking a specific topic related question.
Yes.
But IMO, the best shift **** I have had is the Mugen **** I just got, Honda part # 54102-XTK-000. Blows my other ***** out of the water (OEM ITR, Spoon duracon). Available from the dealer.
