i got a 94 civic coupe, and for the last 3 months or so ive been trying to look for a used windsheld, since new windshields cost like 150, used ones for 30 at the junkyard. do anyone know where can i get them for cheap? at stores or online?

and also i plan to do it myself. i heard its pretty easy, all you need is like a knife, 2 flathead screwdrivers, silicone, and thats about it. im oviously going to just kick the old windshield out and clean the sides, then put silicone and slap the new windsield in if i get a whidshield thats off already.

but if i find a ej at the junkyard, and i always break the windsield on other cars when i prectice takeing it off, can any1 give me advice on how to take it off w/o cracking it?

any help would be appreciated, since i dont like to drive around with a crack that looks like a spiderweb in front of me.

 

Rear and side fixed glass is pretty easy, but I wouldn't try the front windsheild. If you mess it up at all it will wistle everytime you get above 40mph. I would leave it to a shop to do it. In alot of states your insurance will pay for it at no cost to you.

 

or.. does anyone know of a online place where they come to you and fix your windshield for a cheap price? the lowest i got locally is like 180, done by some dudes with no business store, just a van that says they do windshields... cheapest i got from a legit shop with professional installation is like 220.. im pretty tight with money and still going to school.. so anything helps i guess.. thanks
