I know this is a honda board but I need some DSM help..please...
Ok if you made it this far, heres my problem. My friend has a 95 eclpise AWD turbo. and if he punches the gas and then presses in the clutch the engine dies. It seems like its slowing down normally and then the tach keeps falling and the car dies. As for mods it has a bigger turbo 20G and a few other things. anyone have any ideas? thanks for the help
the motor pulls great and we did a compression test so its all good. the cams have stock gears on them. i havent checked the ingition yet. thanks
Is he venting his BOV into the atmosphere or back into the intake? The computer accounts for the blown off air, if it is not vented back into the intake you would have a similar problem. Also, what is he using to run those injectors, his problem could also lie in the fuel tuning ( too rich or too lean).

his usings a safc for fuel managment. the car was tuned and ran a 12.7 at the track but then it started with this problem.
I just finshed on my friend's 95 GST.. built the motor..running a 57 trim t3/t4.. he was having the same problem.
All we did is that we vented the BOV back into the intake and leaned it out at idle. He is using 650cc injectors.

i actually had the same problem with my brothes 95 gsx. no major work, all boltons. as far as I can tell even the 1st gens seem to have the same problem. it turned out to be the throttle body. the bov isnt vented to atmostphere on his. the idle control motor seemed to be sticking and we got one from the junkyard for a good price. runs great since then. dean
Definately sounds like the car is running majorly rich. I would check all intake areas, making sure there are no leaks. That would definately be my diagnosis, that it is just running rich by far.
Sometimes stuff like that is caused by the BISS, a little screw on the trhottle body, falling out or needing adjustment. How is it idling?
