Default 89 Low level fuel light and other questions

I'm trying to find out why my low fuel level light isn't coming on (I'm going 400+ miles on a tank). I can't identify a fuse or circuit. Is there an easy way to check?

Second, how do I remove the lower fog lights in front? I need to change the bulb.

Thanks
Russ

i believe the fog lights can be unbolted from behind them. if you look up from the ground under the bumper, you should be able to see the bolts and easily reach up there and undo them. i am not sure about the fuel light, but you should be getting 400+ miles to the tank. how low do you usually let the fuel get before adding more?

As for the fuel, I'm going 400 - 410 miles before I refuel and the fuel gauge is defintely in the red. Last week as was at 410 miles and I exited the freeway and took a sharp turn - the engine kind of sputtered and coughed. I imagine the sharp turn caused air in the fuel tank to enter the lines briefly. I've had the car for a year and I'm meticulous about my fuel consumption. I usually average 27.5 to 28 miles per gallon. I guess I should get 448 miles per gallon per tank then ( 16 gallon at 28 mpg).

Any help on how to test the fuel light would be appreciated.

Thanks
Russ
