Default VALVE Adjustment question.

after doing a valve adjustment is it necessary to retighten the crankshaft pully bolt ? i looked at it and you would have to buy a special tool to torque it down.
do i really need to do this or is it okay?

i'm assuming the textbook answer is tighten it down b/c you rotated the bolt counter-clockwise in the process of doing the adjustment.

please help. thak you.

No, if the crank pulley bolt comes loose from adjusting your valves you've got bigger problems to worry about.

you realize the entire crank pulley spins when rotating that bolt right? not justthe bolt. that bolt is on there with 130ft/lbs of torque. if only the bolt was spinning when you tried to rotate the crank, you need to redo your valve adjustment lol.
