this isnt a kill story so dont worry..... i have a gsr with ctr cams and 5angle valve job, valve springs, retainers, msd, nology wires, fuel pressure reg, aem camgears, flywheel, act 3 clutch....im going to swap it for 98 itr in about a month... and i was just wondering what would probably be faster....

The gsr head will give you more compression, but that doesnt mean you will go faster. The only way to find out is to dyno the car with both heads on it.

A buddy of mine has a built ITR and it felt like **** with his built GSR head; His built ITR had pulled a hell of a lot harder.

IMO what you need to do is get a flow chart and just like DChybrid1 said... dyno.. but that flow chart alone is going to tell you the difference. Just my .02

Are you retaining the b16 tranny or swapping it out for the ITR? IMO that would make the most significant difference.

I love my ITR tranny...

the b16 and itr(usdm 4.4 fd) are the same tranny gearing the itr just has an lsd( an lsd makes a world of a difference though)

i think the gsr will be faster . . . why are you even switching it out ??
itr swaps are over rated and to much $$ for that they give out

huh why would you turbo an itr swap ?? you could turbo the gsr swap , its much better for it , the jdm itr or itr in general isnt the best for turbo due to higher cr work on the gsr or get anouther gsr and turbo that one . . and dont do some stupid kit , thery are overrated overpriced and underpowered . . do some gt28rs custom kit and you will be more then happy and not even spend that much money to get into the 12 if your ot a stunna driver

now is this gsr head worked or is it just a 5angle job? the type r should be faster, 5 angles is too much for a honda head, a correct 3 will still give you max power.

nothing wrong with a 5 angle, its just depends are what your goals are

your a head builder and your saying the itr head is a better head??

stock for stock the itr is better . . but once you start working over stock, the itr looses it advantage . .

worked gsr head> worked itr/b16 head
