"this auction is for a 2001 integra type r b18c5 block. block has less than 60k miles and is in great working condition. the block will include the crankshaft the crank pulley, pistons, and that is all. im going ls vtec so i dont need this anymore. shipping will b $150. paypal only! payment must be received within 3 days! "

So, he had a B18C5, took the head off and put in his LSVTEC? Wow. You might think that dropping the B18C5 in would make more sense.

-Chris

EDIT: Those 99-00 Civic Si ECU's would come in pretty handy if you're out stealing ITRs.

He probably doesn't want to run a stolen block, which is why this one's for sale.

Why doesn't someone simply email the guy asking for a picture of the serial number? Why doesn't some big ol' cow boy from Texas go break his legs?

How can you run that serial # below the b18c5? Do you go to the dealership?

Local law enforcement can run a block number for you.

It sure does look suspicious. Who knows? It makes you wonder though, no picture of the entire block stamp, or a picture of the VIN Tag. Ask for the VIN number.

can anyone report an auction like this to local authorities, or anyone?

3 Si ECUs and 2 Si wiring harnesses and a C5 with the VIN conveniently omitted.. uh?!

you could report it to ebay and they could (and probably would) freeze his account and kill off the auctions..

ebay says to contact local law enforcement and have them contact ebay:

http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/stolen.html

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/stolen.html &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">
If you see an item on eBay that you believe is stolen, your best course is to contact law enforcement immediately. Under eBay's privacy rules, our attorneys will provide important records about pending and past listings with an official request from law enforcement officials. Please inform the police officer handling the case that eBay will be pleased to cooperate in the investigation, and ask the officer to contact eBay using our law enforcment-specific webform. The officer should include all relevant information, including the case number and any item numbers or User IDs.</TD></TR></TABLE>

can somebody local do this?

Yes, considering most of us are local to Location: "USA United States of America".

Doesnt want the location known, and is hiding the serial #. Its a safe bet that ish is stolen.

Call the police.

Auction ended at $940. The winning bidder was a buyer from Guatemala.

:further edit: He also changed the mileage from 60K to 44K in the ad.

:edit: Something happened. His ebay account shows his user ID for the first auctions placed as "jbmk4". It is now listed as "no longer a registered user". He got bad feedback from his last buyer for wanting a money order and not accepting paypal. He wrote a clearly asshat response. Then he relisted the auctions under the new user ID "rockindasteelies". He also changed all the locations to "thanks" or "USA", from Arlington, TX.

This guy is a punk thief. Anyone for a trip to Texas?

p.s. This guy does not speak good english, if anyone knows someone in the Arlington area who fits the bill

p.s.s. I'll be in touch with the Arlington authorities this morning.
