head gssket
Im 16 years old and a rookie mechanic, I bought a 92 prelude si from a guy I work with for 300$ because it didnt start for him. It was a 70 year old guy who didnt know what he had so when he couldnt get it started one day he just sold it to me. The problem was just the starter, easy fix. car ran great. The only problem was it was a high mileage automatic.
So two months after i bought the car my friend with a 92 4ws got rear ended by a drunk driver, car was totaled out by the insurance company, so i bought it from them, and swaped the newly biult motor and 5 spd into my killer body. i did all the work myself in my garage and every thing runs great. so im into a great car for about 1100$. so a week ago the head gasket goes out and i was just wondering if i should tackle it myself or take it somewhere and have it fixed by a pro.
