Default what years civics have sohc vtec

alright so here is the deal...i did run a search...but it's like the phone book i never know what i'm searching for....but here it is...i have a friend that goes to insurance auctions....and i'm looking for a sohc vtec to go in my 91 hatch....what year and model civics have the sohc vtecs?...i'm really looking into late 90's early 00...i can get a deal since it is through the auction...also since i'll be getting the whole car is everything for the swap there or between my car now....etc the mounts...axles....and i'm assuming that what ever i'm going to get will have a hydro tranny....will a regular cable tranny from any d motor work?....oh yea i have a dx..so i know i'll have to switch to mpfi....and bump up to obo something or other....i know people are going to tell me to go b series....i don't have the loot for all the extras i'll need....and i have a homemade turbo for it...it's a daily driver....thanks for the help and if i forgot anything i forgot let me know

92-95 civic si,ex have sohc vtec and 96-00 ex have sohc vtec motors...

why not try, "what year civics have sohc vtec engines?"

use your stock mounts and put inserts in them, use your stock axles, and your stock tranny is okay too, but a si tranny is better. if your car is 88 get an 88 tranny, cause it has 21 splines, the other years are okay. no u dont need to change to obd1, unless u want to chip ecu's, or u may already have a chippable ecu depends on what kind of ecu u have (go to xenecron.com). for vtec just use a msd rpm activator.

it's a 91 guess i forgot that part..so use the sohc vtec ecu right?......or use my stock ecu and convert to mpfi and jsut run a vtec switch which is what i think you jsut told me

since you said your going turbo get a chippable pm6 or pr4 and use turboedit, thats if u want a cheap quality ems. go to http://www.xenocron.com/ for all your fuel/ignition needs.
