Snapped timing belt with fully built head
Well I finally got my car back yesterday and well it was fun while it lasted.. The timing belt snapped and what I am wondering what are the chances I bent my ferra valves? Could I damaged other parts?
Thanks
Thanks
what speed and RPM where you at when she let go ?
Low speed low rpm and it just snapped and stopped you may have just killed the valves. High speed high rpm you killed a TON of ****.

I was doing 35 mph and the car died.. right there.. we pushed it over and what not.. Looked at the cam gears and I dont see a belt on that..
I am pissed.. Im about the call the shop up to let them know what happened.. The thing is they kept taking off my blower, mess with my T belt.. I'm thinking to myself wouldnt the t belt stretch?
Didn't you pay A LOT for a rebuild recently?? You had problems with it too after you got it back, right??
Good luck.
Good luck.

Actually you would be surprised. I did a leakdown on an engine a few months ago and it yielded values from 5-20% leakage. Turns out 3 of the exhaust valves were bent due to valve float.
On a side note... 2k has pretty shitty luck. You should have done a 5spd conversion like we told you to do and left the motor stock. Let us know what the shop has to say.
