I need you guys to educate me on the B16A SiR II tranny...I am not sure which tranny I have, I think it is either the hydraulic tranny S21 or Y21...I want to replace the synchros, clutch, fly wheel and rear main seal... Can I go to an American Honda dealership and get parts for it? Or any websites that you guys recommend? Finally I remember when I was doing the motor swap with my friends someone took the sticker off that identifies the tranny is their anyway to tell without it?

edit: I'm pretty sure if you got the A2 usdm then you have a hydro tranny, just no lsd ....don't quote me on this tho

 

I did search, however, I couldn't find the difference between the two trannys....I am assuming one has LSD (Y21?) and the other (S21 ) doesn't...

not necessarily...you can have a cable tranny w/ lsd, and you can have hydro tranny w/o lsd, or vice versa

I asked the same thing acouple weeks ago because I wasn't sure what tranny I had either, but I found out I have hydro trans w/ lsd
