sorry, more info on the cruise control
It doesnt work at all when I press the cruise button the light goes on and the I press and hold the "set" botton (going over 40mph) and nothing happens the cruise control dash light does not go on. what is up with this???????????

You only need to press once to set a speed, not press and hold (that is for decelerating after a speed has already been set). There are a number of safety switches that will cancel the setting if any of the switches are opened. There's one on the brake, on the clutch, and I think maybe on the e-brake (not sure). Going by the system description in my factory electrical manual for my Camry, there is a switch on the e-brake, and it will also cut off the the brake warning light comes on for whatever reason (just speculating that the Integra system is probably similar in operation). All of these switches must be working properly for the system to work. One of the pedal switches may be out of adjustment (switch doesn't close when pedal is at the top of its travel), so check those. When I retrofitted an OEM cruise system into my old car, it took me forever to finally get it working. The problem was that I had the wrong harness plug on the brake switch (same switch served both the brake lights (normally open) and the cruise cutoff (normally closed). HTH
