Default b18c5 block with b16a head or a k20 type s motor in an ef

im kinda stuck right now. im not sure wut to put in my hatch right now. my car is a 91 si hatch with a b16a right now. which setup out of the b18c5 block with b16a head or a k20 type s motor will give make me faster. i would go lsvtec or crvtec but i want something more reliable. and im willing to to put down 6 to 7 g's on this project. so which is better.

the K20 is of course going to be faster but it will take more money to make it work.

well first off you could spend about $5-5.5K for a k-series motor and then blow the rest of your budget on mounts, axles, radiator, lines, fuel pump, etc... and it would be a bitch to make work.

or

you could keep the set up as is and spend the money on building the motor, tranny, axles, turbo, tires, and stuff.

Go with the K swap thats what im doing now, even if you build that type R B your still probally only going to hit high 13's in your hatch im telling you just buy a type S complet swap for around 3,500 and spend another 2000 on accessory that you need for it to work and you'll be hitting some 12's all motor in your hatch. and later down the road you can always just buy another k and drop it in cause you will have everything you need to put it in. Check out K20a.org for more info. Thats just my 2 cents.
