i own a black 99 ek with the Si rims and I'm thinking about doing a mota swap. I Been thinking doin the k20ar or the b16a2 mota swap so which one should i go with? which one will go better with my car?

 

b16 cheaper, k20 more power..

you must look at whats most practical

b16 more affordable, more practical- the k20 swaps are difficult and require much more work- unless you know alot of what you are doing

for your money you would be best off getting a ls block b16 head gsr tranny lsvtec- good tunning good build and you have some thing comparable to the k20! imo

 

don't waste your time with the b16. Also unless you got a lot of $$ i don't see how your going to afford to swap the k series in there. I would maybe just look into a b18c if you want to stay all motor or just turbo the sohc or get an ls turbo if you want to make some real power.

 

Your plans for future mods would really make a difference. If you plan to go turbo, you can go with your stock motor, or the b16. The b16 boosted will be WAY faster than the k swap and about the same amount of money. If you are wanting to stay on the motor go b18c or do an LS-VTEC. The K swaps can be really nasty, but I do not see all the trouble being worth it unless you have a lot MORE money to dump into the motor after the swap.
