Default ITR Almost STOLEN!!!

I really don't post alot or reply to any of the Topics in this forum. I do own a ITR. Bone stock. But I figured I'd let you guys know what happened this morning.

I live in NJ and take the train to NYC to go to work. Well this morning I was just about to get out the door to catch my train with I heard my mom screaming. It turns out, 4 guys were trying to steal my car on my driveway!!! They just took off when my mom went outside. I look around the car and I don't see any type of broken glass or any type of forced entry. I open the drivers side door and I see the club hanging off the steering wheel and autolock in the back seat. My steering colum is destroyed and looks like they left the car on, but not the engine.

An upraiser has to come over and take a look at the car. What should I do. Any ideas?? Should I get rid of my car. Don't get me wrong I LOVE THIS CAR. But if they ever touch my mother, just to get my car, I don't want to keep it.

If you have a garage, park it in there.

N2Kay - do yourself a favor... go rent a storage area for your car @ ~$30/mo. Sounds like your ITR just sits in the shed all day long until you come home.

Doesn't sound good. They'll probably be back to finish the job. Guard it with your dear life!

folks i hate to say it. i used to work for a locksmith company. and believe me integras including R's are not hard to open. I suggest the baddest alarm you can get and put rubber hoses over the door and lock linkage. this will help. and as far as the autolock im not sure. also try hooking up a starter kill to the nuetral safety switch instead of the starter.

I would just sell it if I lived in NJ or NY. Its just not worth it. Trade it for a 97 vette or something.

Many of you have heard this before...I had club, autolock, alarm...blah blah...still stole my car. Unfortunately, the broken security devices were not left in the car so, I couldn't tell how they exactly got things off, but after inspecting my car after the theft, I can see how easy it was to steal the car....please don't IM me and ask me how, or post here on how to steal an ITR...just get a secure garage, a good alarm (w/ pager if possible), all of those club, autolock, etc. things, a hood lock, and pray.
