Adam: How do those coliovers compare to a Koni/GC setup or Mugens? And what is the approx price and spring rates you went with. I'm in the market for a new suspension and have been looking at the H&R, but have not heard much about them. Thanks for any info you can provide.
On your control arms, if they were mine I'd get a pieces of metal (3/16" or 1/4" thick) that would be wide enough to cover the side slots and long enough to capture both SHCSs (socket head cap screw). Drill clearance holes in the metal bar on the existing bolts spacing, get some longer SHCS and then install. This new plate will sandwich the slotted section of the control arm between ball joint plate and your new plates. This will transfer the load more over the entire length of the slot versus the partial washer area. This is something you wouldn't want to break out at say 135mph going through NASCAR 3 & 4 at Lowes Motor Speedway.

Those are the Skunk2 adjustable upper control arms...I have them on my R...they work great...no problems with the ball joint sliding....they are a solid unit and have alot of camber adjustability-perfect for having 2 seperate camber adjustments...daily driving and road racing/autocrossing.
What is the solid red band around the middle of the spring for?
Nice setup Adam.

Nice but that wing is total Rice Boy.
I was working the SCCA booth at the San Jose auto show and we had Mirko's road race Mazda there for sale. The car is fully preped for road racing with a HPM aluminum and was for sale. I can't tell you how many ricers (you can spot them a mile away) came by asking "Is that car was really for sale". Then I would tell them it's not street legal and they walk away disappointed.
unless the whole car has functional downforce (like a mugen kit for example), it's pretty pointless to have a lot of downforce in the rear for a FWD car. not to mention it looks like ***
That wing actually does something. OMG, what's that!?!? Yes, that's right, it's a functional wing. Why do you want it on a fwd car? During braking mostly. Things get very light back there under heavy braking. The stock wing does an okay job, but it could use a hair more.
Who the hell says you need a front splitter/airdam to make a rear one work?

i was thinking more along the line's of going faster, not slowing down. but that last statement was kinda broad, any downforce will help a car when it's out on the track
