if anything i would suggest DC headers, because they seem to be the best quality and best fit. they are a little more expensive, but you get what you pay for when it comes to headers.

It's funny, I keep hearing blah blah blah they will crack for about every kind of header out there, yet, I've never met anyone who personally has had a header crack. Buy the OBX headers and if they crack buy a new one. You're still cheaper than buying one set of DC headers.

does DC even make AV6 headers? I thought the only companies offering them were Comptech and OBX, but I've been wrong before...

lol, you guys should see how much a REAL set of headers cost, like SMSP's and ****. DC Headers ARE cheap headers.

DC does not make Headers for the AV6. The only ones that I know of are the OBX the Comptech and some that I don't even know are still produced by stone racing. The OBX are not bad headers but some of them create a resonance after installing them. They are designed after the comptechs and I see no reason why someone would not purchase the OBX. I have never seen a set from obx crack by the way.

Agree.

OBX headers will not crack any sooner than any others. Welds are fine. Most of the guys running them on their AV6 and CL/TL-s are fine with them. Unless you want to shell out a ton of cash for comptech.

People who bash obx v6 headers have never used them, and do not know what they are talking about.

What is that supposed to mean? That you know more about OBX? That you have more OBX header experience than me?

What's your comeback Ahktar.

EDIT: I can guarantee that you odn't have any obx header experience.

That ***** ol' school!

Go visit v6p.net. Thats the new av6.com and OBX does suck. Just read on v6p and you'll find out. There are multiple AV6 headers now but are all based off the same design. The megan headers are said to be the best fit so far. They have a second flex pipe so fitment is better. Alpha Werks is also good but I have heard of fitment issues. The TopSpeed headers have fitment probs as well. The holes dont align up or are too small. You'll to drill them out to fit better.

As of now there are:
TopSpeed
Alpha Werks
Stone
Comptech
OBX
Megan
Improve
some other no names.

OBX cost too much for their problems. For 300 you can get one of the cheaper Megan headers and be better off. The Megans are around 200 on ebay. The Alpha Werks and TopSpeed are near $500. Stone did come back but has gone off for somereason. SSAC carries them so just call them up. The new Stone headers also fit the 6spds but are said to have fitment and resonance issues. ALl of the headers except for Comptech seem to have resonance issues though.

Comptech is the only way to go!

Im dropping my 1g soon for mine!

goto v6p.net and find crx5150. He knows more about J series than any of you folks. Ask him about OBX v6 headers.

Have fun dropping your 1g on the comptech. On your j30 it will not net you more than a couple horses over the $250 obx.

I know who crx5150 is and just about everyone there. There are people on that board that knows their stuff too. Not only does your buddy know a lot about the J30. I will have fun dropping my 1g on my comptech cuz i know it will be quality and worth every penny. Also if i decide to resell i'll get more than half of wait i paid for it plus its elgal which will save me headaches. GL with that on OBX.

I'll be awaiting to see crx5150's J30 rex.

Yeah resale. But OBX is cheap, and they work. I thought it was a J32 rex, and I thought it was done, or almost.
