Default Help me squeeze some more hp out of my GSR All motor setup...please.

I have a B18C1 in my 98 ferio which has the following done to it:

CTR cams
ITR valvetrain
Buddy club cam gears
Skunk2 intake manifold
Bored out GSR tb to 64 mm (to match skunk2)
AEM ITR CAI
DC 4-1 header
ES oval exhaust w/ 2 1/4" piping w/ carsound cat
Hondata S200 system

I had the car tuned by Church and my numbers were
189.1 whp/ 140.6 tq.

I would like to squeeze 11 more hp out of her to get to that 200 whp mark. Any ideas??

I am currently in the process of fixing my tranny up with lsd and a new clutch/flywheel setup but I still want to get that 11whp more out of her.

Any ideas are greatly appreciated...THANKS

get rid of the dc sport 4-1 header and buy a better one....an-r or rmf or smsp all make headers that should put you up there

a hotter set of cams would also put you up there

But an anr, smsp, hytech, or dtr header along with ATLEAST a valvejob and some higher compression will get you past that mark along with more tuning. You can get higher compression with ITR pistons or milling the head, thinner headgasket or flat-top valves. so yea you have alot of choices just depends on your budget...

ya sadly his options are all costly...but if you look at people who race motorcycles they pay hundreds for a just a few more hp...so it could be worse

are you still running stock compression. i would at least mill the head, when you are putting in your new valvetrain for some BC3+'s

doesn't the dynapack read kinda high? If so, how high? How long did it take him to tune your car and how much did he charge you? Im thinking of taking my next motor there.

go witht he cheap HyTech for $799 that Endyn sells and drop the cat for the dynotune ... it'll hit 200. not sure if you put 93/94 octane fuel, if you did I'm sure shawn would go a bit more aggressive on the timing and give you two maps, one for low octane and one for 93/94

More compression, bigger cams, = over 200.
