really the best increase for the money is a turbo. but they are expensive, i would stick with some bolt ons for now unless you have money to drop.

How can you say its usdm if he has no location info and its his first post?

Forget it, doesnt matter. Its a y8.

Bolt ons arent going to do much but add noise. I wish I could do it all over again and just leave it stock until turbo. Waste of money on header and intake imo

when I bought my car it had a couple bolt-ons...I cant tell the difference. I added a header after my first turbo install and it was a waste of money (cheapy ebay but still would a $200 DC Sports be too much better...probably not). I dont think I would ever spend money on basic bolt ons again. You wont notice a difference from stock and you will be that much further away from BOOOOOOOOOOOOOST

Exactly. It's got a Y8, so it's either a USDM EX or CDM Si.

actually targa is right (as usual). most power per dollar is nitrous oxide, however the cool thing about a turbo is that it works all the time; you don't have to buy more "turbo" in a bottle.

IMO if you have to come onto a board to ask people
what you should do to your car, you might not know to much.
I mean if you have more money then you do brains just keep it stock
because I have seen alot of kids like that that go out with daddies credit
card and blow up their engines the same week But on the other hand if you are the opposite, pay no attention to this post and all I can say is
Strat building your internals and then go with boost. Nitrous in thew hands
of uneducated people = baaad.

Oh yeah, and for cheap mods, get your catalitic converter taken off,
and see if you can get some kind of chip for it, other then that, your looking
at petty mods that don't do anything.

and sorry If I came off as offensive in the last post, I have some honda boy racer that always IM's me and asks me what to get next, the kid has a 2001 Civic LX, whatta monster 1.7L, yeah I don't like people like this kid.

ANYWAYS! Looks like everyone is saying BOOST or NITROUS. IMO those are to risky especially if you have nothing done to the internals. Its just asking for a blown engine, which means more money $$$ and thats something your lacking from what you said. I would just say, go with boltons, their not a risk to your engine at all and they will give you some power. Cant expect much out of a Y8 especially if money is tight, right?

Agreed. My stock engine took the turbo like a champ (besides the notorious headlift that $90 fixes easily)
