hey everyone i have a 92 integra Ls with 124,946 miles on it and it's clean for it's year and it runs good but i have been having problems lately because it throttle response is sticking and the car jerks on take off sometimes, and the only thing i'am running on is a AEM cold air and DC 4-2-1 headers. so if anyone has advise on why the throttle reponse is so poor please let me know.

Also it's automatic so i already know i'am not going to get proper reponse like a manual trans Ls, but there's still a problem

 

have you checked the tension on the TB cable?? My cable had a bolt come loose and I just had to tighten it

other than that, fuel filter could be clogged, Check Dist. Cap and rotor, no check engine lights??

I dont think seafoam is recomended on High mileage cars...have you checked out the spark plugs??

 

yesterday when i was driving and my chec engine light did come one on, so i pulled over and popped the hood and everything seemed good but the only thing with integra's is the there is a lot of wires everywhere, but when i started the car back up five minutes later the check engine light never came on again, weird. and two days ago a got a full tune-up at a honda specialist and he gave me new spark plugs and fluids but keep the spark plug wires because he said the were fine (full Tune-up)

 

check the ECU for any codes

 

hey thanx for the advice i went to my machanic and he read the ECU codes and it was the fuel injection so he told me to add STP FUEL INJECTION CLEANER and it should help and if not it probably a hose all. he said it's bad to go high speed when are near an empty tank because debris is absorbed and causes fuel injection problems.
