wut RPM does the vteck kick in...in a 02 rsx??

NEVER J/k. I think more like 6000 on my friend's type-S. Isn't it differnt on each car tho?

 

Been like 6months since i drove my S but its about 5500 it doesnt kick in stronger till 6g though

 

5800.

 

5900 rpm, red line 7900 rpm. Fuel cut at 8200, I think. Maybe 8100

 

Are you talking about a type-s or base model. If you're talking about a base there is no vtec kick.

 

rev limiter is set to 5500 to prevent vtec from kicking in while in neutral. So vtec "kick" is somewhere above that i would assume.

Sorry but they left the VTEC out of the 02's. Glad I got my 03, VTEC kicks in at 5800 rpm stock rev limiter at about 8100-8200.

 

do you own an 02 RSX? I'm guessing you do because the question is so specific.

Anyways, in all 02-04 type S's the VTEC engagement is at 5800 rpm stock.

And if you do have an 02 RSX and don't know when VTEC engages, then you have a base and not a type S or fucked up enough where you shouldn't go near an automoblie.
