Default OBD1 dizzy with OBD2 harness What to do?

Hey guys, just have a few quick questions. I have a obd1 b16a2 that I put into my 1996 civic dx coupe. I am using a 1997 ex wiring harness with an obd2 alternator and 0bd2 injectors. My only problem is I have an obd1 dizzy, I looked at the plugs and it looks like the only difference is the obd1 is a two-plug configuration and the obd2 is a single plug. I was just going to cut the plugs off of the harness that cam with the motor and connect it to my harness. Can you guys tell me if there is anything weird about doing this? Also my boss just bought a 1998 B18c5 motor and he offered to give me his ecu. I remember reading somewhere that the jdm itr motor does not have a vtec oil pressure switch and something else about the secondary o2 sensor. Is there any way that I could use this ecu? I figured since both motors are jdm and they both don’t have CFS I thought that it might work. If not I still have my obd2-obd1 adapter and ecu that came with motor. Sorry for such a long post but one more question. I ordered my engine with the stock Honda LSD, I tried to search and see what tranny fluid people are using but didn't come up with much. The only info I got was 80-90 with some sort of additive. Can you guys tell me what would be best for this setup? Thanks

wow, you got alot going on there.....
first, you prob gonna have to find a OBD-2 dizzy to work with the wiring, cutting/splicing on electrical isnt always the best way esp on a dizzy. i had the problem with mine, was sputtering sometimes. i picked up the right dizzy, havent had any problem since.
second- the ecu- youve got a 96 dx civic, prob obd-2. the only way to get rid of the 2nd O2 is to convert to OBD-1 with a harness, can get them cheap now. if you do, the OBD-2 ecu wont work. you said your using a 97 ex harness? that should work fine, except the harness inside your car to the ecu wont change, so you will have to use the obd2-obd-1 harness to use the ecu that came with your swap.....
hope that covered any questions you had.....

I totally agree that I should get the obd2 dizzy but I have no more money. I wasn't trying to get rid of the second o2 I was wondering if the obd2 typeR ecu would work in my car. I just heard you had to run the secondary o2 wires to the ecu and something else about the oil pressure switch for vtec. I already have an 0bd1-obd2 adapter but the only problem is when they sent me my motor swap they gave me a p72 ecu which is for a gsr and vtec engages at 4800 (I belive) and a b16a2 with itr cams and other boltons should be around 5600. So I figured since pretty much everything in my head is typeR and I have typeR intake and header. I thought that ecu would work good until I can make it to a dyno for tuning. Sorry about the run on sentence I'm at work and in a hurry. Also any info on the LSD tranny fluid. Thanks

take the internals out of your dx distributor and swap them into your b16 housing. dont worry about the 2nd o2 sensor and try the ecu it may work. if it dosent try the dx just to make sure that it starts

if you have a ex engine wire harness, im sure its vtec and it should already have the oil pressure switch on it. if you car is a dx, i think it has the second o2 sensor, so you should have to run the wire for it. i have a civic hx and i had the same problem with the o2 for the longest time, then i converted to obd-1. the ecu should work in your car w/ the harness im guessing. just try it, all youll get is a check engine light......
im using honda manual tranny fluid. i changed it, afterwards, never shifted so smooth...
