Default replacing shocks

I have a 94 HB and I am going to get Koni Reds with H&R racing springs .....

I was wondering if I should replace the schock mounts and the should I put dust covers on the piston rods?

anyone ?

Thank you

I dont believe you have to replace the piston dust cover.

I would recommend getting the koni yellows for damper adjustibility.

Thats a write up in the suspension forum and the creater did not use the dust cover.

i found the koni reds for 300 with free shipping .... didnt want to spend 500 on yellows .... I will be using H&R racing springs and set the reds to 2-3 click on the internal adjustment ..... so that the stiffnes of the H&Rs will do 60% of the work and and shocks 40%

unless you know of a place I can get the yellows for like 400
