Default OEM Oil Filter Part No - Changed?

Just been down to my local Honda Dealer for an ITR Oil Filter and they seem to have changed parts - I pointed it out and the parts guy said yep Honda have replaced it.

Im just wondering if anyone on here knows about this? Theyve given me some horrible french one now part no 15400-RBA-FO1.

Theyve been the same for the last 3 years, is it usually something like 15400-PR3-004 ? I have it at home. I think the previous one was Japanese too...

This filter doesnt look clever to me

Is it a bit smaller than the old OEM filter? I think Honda has standardized the filter for all their cars now.

Well after moaning about it being French, I went home to check an old one, that was french too !

Anyway the one I usually get is 15400-PH1-FO3 which has been replaced with 15400-RBA-FO1

Much Smalller yep. Kind of lost with all the size differences and manufacturers etc,I have read on here but US seem to have different numbers and manufacturers to UK,European.

The smaller one is better for the oil pressure -> less fluctuation.
