I races a crx with only 358 WHP and I can not recall a good burnout to heat the slicks up enough. I would like some info also picture of a brake system to lock the rear wheels. I have to roll forward the quickly put it in 1st gear to get a bit of burnout on the slicks. After i launches when ever the car get in 3rd gear the slicks starts to slip like hell no traction whatsoever. Please for some info ,pictures would be appreciated. I know i could maybe pull a 1.5 60ft instead of 1.8 60ft.

adjust your handbrake locking spring all the way (you'll know its adjusted when its really hard to pull up).
Sometimes you can also be dragging the rear wheels where they dont spin ... so ask someone to look at it from outside when you do a burnout.

do they actually roll or just slide?
you could always employ some watchers to hold the car back..
i think i remember the pacman brothers k20 crx with a tow strap attached to the back with a few people holding on tight, looked like a tug-o-war

I'm not sure...but I'd be willing to bet it was rolling. I havn't done the rear brakes in the last 4 years.

It rolls. It got the better of me on a track day that I became so frustrated that I would not drive the car for the rest of the day. I have spent so much money at local shops on adjusting e-brakes,change disc pads, callipers. Still not been satisfied by non of thelocal shops who they all claim to be the best brakes shop.
Try 2nd gear. It doesn't take a whole lot to heat up the tires. I see a lot of guys holding it there just burning off good rubber.
What kind of clutch do you have? What brand of tires and are they in good shape?

you building boost at the line? It helps, also you need to do your burnouts in 2nd not first. Get a line lock , this will not only help you burnout better but put a load on your axles, tranny before you release the clutch, this will save future breakage to your axles and tranny.
Yes Call and talk to Joe Housley from add it to your toys. He can explain and set you guys up with one. I think he can get a Hurst line lock which will be fine. The number is 1-801-569-1300.
The Original Hurst Roll Control #HUR174-5000
"The Original HURST Roll Control - Used primarily in Drag Racing to provide positive locking of the front wheels to reduce the chance of rolling through the lights and also to allow for more effective burn-outs.
