Default Type R Candy (SRS reset instructions, *PIC*)

After looking more through my archives I came across this pic. I could not find it any where online. All of the places that had it before had either removed it or the sites are no more.

So for you I deliver!

"do not use a jumper wire."

Does that mean, use a jumper wire?

Yes, that is correct. The service connector is not referred to as a "jumper wire", a jumper wire would be a paper clip or some sort of shorting device.

So this erases the memory of something?

Or just makes the light go off if you have removed the airbags?

is this only for SRS codes, or all codes in memory? I wish there was a way to remove the immobilizer CEL and keep it off. And I usually just use a paper clip as a jumper wire

Yeah that resets the SRS unit.

From what I understand, when you remove your wheel for an aftermarket one, you get the SRS light to stay on. Even if you put the stock steering wheel back on the light won't go away unless you reset the system. Hence the pic.

Now if you ad a 2.2ohm resistor to the SRS plug and perform the function, VUALLA, no SRS light, and you don't go throught the trouble of pulling out the bulb.

Wrong.

I reset mine with a paper clip after re-installing the stock wheel. Easy to do once i figured it out. Helms ownz.

It just says not to. It doesn't mean you can't do it.

Don't forget to use a 2.2ohm resistor. The resistor simulates the air bag so the light won't come back on.

Where do you stick the resistor at? Where you'd put the jumper?

The jumper goes in the SRS MEM plug in the underdash fuse box. Remove the plug to jumper it.

The resistor had to connect the two wires that plug into the yellow SRS harness.

That works too, but if you still have the passanger airbag and would like to have it operational, although there are rumors that it may still work, this is what you have to do.

Ah, good point. I don't have a passenger airbag in my hatch, so that thought never even occurred to me.

I don't have pics of the SRS cables handy, however the picture is clearly understandable if you have an Integra. I would not know where it is in a 2000 DX.
