take a look at my car on car domain and let me know what you think about me painting from the bodyline right below the windows up flat black. that includes the top of the fenders and quarter planels, hood, trunk lid, and roof. let me know

Why would you want to spary half of it flat black? I like it how it is!

 

Seriously, flat black would look tacky. i say leave it like this, or get the entire car resprayed in black cherry or something.

but if you do want to see what it will look like before you decide on whatever - i recommend getting Adobe Photoshop and do it on there to give you an idea. Easy way to try various things before actually doing it...

 

If you're gonna do a two-tone thing, use the trim on the doors as your dividing line. ala 83 Grand National and (I think) 83 CRX. It can look really good with the right combo of colors but I dunno about flat black and red.

 

I say leave it like that. if anythign get rid of the flames, and paint ur bumpers red and it'll look really nice..well and a lil drop too.

 

Kepp it RED and the pinstripe flames have to go!

 

i dont feel 4drs the whole point is to be sleeper so why you got flames. thats not the right car to make nice looking

sorry bud but i hate using the trim as a dividing line i think it looks gay!. but also the flames are from highschool they are coming off as soon it gets warm.

wrong! they are awesome sleepers but why cant it look nice?

i also dont have a picture on my site with it lowered on the 17s but it looks much better lowered. i havent had any good weather to take pics. ill post as soon as i do

i like the black roof idea, i have to agree with the others and i say drop it lower, or throw some 15s on there. IMO i like the gloss black roof better than the flat black.

 

man i like the flames alot.

i think you should start from the door handles then UP with glossy black/pearl black type paint not flat.

Respray your car the same RED maybe a bit dark or the other stock civichatch Chianti Metallic red R-67M and make the flames CMR(chianti metallic red) but keep the black outline of flames.

stock red up untill the top of the finders. gloss black from the top of the finders up. thin white deviding line between the to. if you ever get different wheels like everyone has said black 15 or even 16s would be good. you and your big wheels... i like the pics with the steelies but you know me.

 

thanks for the opinions. i was thinking about it last night i am thinking now that i am gunna get carbon fiber fenders, hood and trunk. then keep the same 2 tone idea red from the bodyline down, bumpers and all. and then gloss black from the bodyline up, but leave the carbon fiber showing from the bodyline ant the top of the fenders up....how does that sound?

and also it is lowered, the tires tuck inside the fenders like 1/4-1/2 an inch, but i havent had time nor the weather to take pics but i will ASAP!

nah really i guess that would look ok i'm not sure i follow though. paint the bottom half of the cf fenders and leave all the other cf black then paint the top black and the bumpers red thats right, right? what body kit are you thinking?

 

no body kit just paint, body kits dont belong on ef 4drs. but yeah paint from the bodyline down red, bumpers and trim and all that. then leave the CF showing from the bodyline up on the fenders and the hood, and then paint the rest of the bodyline up black.

 

okay i figured you would want a body kit as well.

 

hell no! i dont really care for bodykits. it has to be the right kit on the right car.
