i had the same problem happen to me. hehehehe all u gotta do is get a high impact tool or u can use a breaker bar which can be found in your local auto store. and you also need the pully chain which stops the pully from turning when you use the breaker bar on the crank pully. i think you are gonna need another person to help you with this. well hope you get that darn thing off.

Try hitting it with some PB blaster (tap on it a little to help get the blaster in there). After the blaster soaks in, hit it with some heat. Be careful of the seal that is right behind it, you don't want to toast that. With enough heat, it should come out.

I know where you're at with this. Some are hard to get off. Most are really hard to get off. This one is like mine... damn near impossible to get off.

I had one that I couldn't get off like what you're talking about. I tried about 4 various sized impacts, a burnsomatic, and various penetrating oils. Finally I took it to a shop where they hit it with their impact. Still nothing. They hit it for about 5 seconds with the heat from a cutting torch, put the impact back on, and it came right out.

Remember that the impact gun has the most power on initial bursts (from what I've been told anyhow). Try going in spurts. Your last resort is to go to a diesel truck garage where they have the huge 3/4" drive impacts that have serious torque (ie: they break wrists from time to time).

I had no trouble getting mine off. Heres how I did it. My motor was sitting on garage floor, took a piece of flat scrap metal. drilled holes to line up with two pressure plare holes and one bellhousing. Bolted it up to lock it, then put a breaker bar on it, came off real easy since I locked it down, you can do the same on the crank pully but its harder. Once its locked down all your torque goes to loosening the bolt and not turning the motor. 1/2 impact wouldn't loosen mine either till I did this, and then it came off REAL easy.
