Actually they will do 0-60 in 5 sec. Lotus Elise are just plan light as can be. Also the Elise which some folks been getting imported into the US cost them around 50 grand and I know of 10 being sold just around the south. Though I'm wonder if the pic of the sport 190 is suppose to be the car were getting because in Europe the Lotus Elise evo looks alot better and more refined. I'll post pic later on.
Oh no please.....
Dumbasses driving this small cars everywhere around were I live and think they were the kings of the road... I hate it

Actually they have 215-250hp SC technics verisons for sell now.
SC verisons can basically do 0-60 in 4 sec flat or 3.8 sec.
The sport 190 has 190hp and 8k redline and does 0-60 in 4.3secs all NA.

The 125mph top speed is only on the 120hp verison..also very close gear ratios don't help that either.
The 190hp verison has 145mph topspeed.
Also you can also get Gemini seq. sys which has no clutch pedal and automatically blips the throttle on down shifts. I believe the sys cost around 12k but included tax and fitting it to car.

this car cant run 5 sec 0-60 on a 120 hp motor....
Hey Fuzznuts: The Elise weighs about 1500 pounds. You need to educate yourself.

Yeah, I would love to see one of those w/ a high rewing Honda motor, weather it be B18C or the new RS-X motors... whatever they're called, the F-series motors? F20? Anyone?
Its a nice car...
How ever the bad thing is...B18C5 motors will be wanted more then ever now. They supposivly drop right in, transmission and all. Theres a company that sells the car with the B18C5 motor. The car does the 1/4 in 13.2 seconds.

The Lotus Elise with 120hp is really not a fast car, but it's definitely a fun car. If I were gonna spend that much money, I would rather MORE and get the Elise 190. Now that's a fast car.
And what I like about the Elise is that it doesn't have any electronics or power items, so no need to worry about stupid little things going wrong!!

Well for grand more you can take basic 120hp to 135hp with there upgrade kit.
Also with 0-60 time of 5.5 secs which is quick as my old 94 mustang GT with 5.0 litre engine which was pretty fast. With the upgrade to 135hp you should be able to do it in about 5 sec's flat.

Hmmm.....I heard they were supposed to be Toyota engines w/over 150 hp
Anyway, here's a link which seems a lot more credible than AutoWeek: http://www.lotuscarclub.org/elise-report-1.htm

Rumour I have heard is that the Elise will have a Nissan engine here in the U.S...
Guess if u can afford one u won't drive it in the rain right? Since it has pretty big water leaking problem as I heard from friends HK.
Umm...great car for sunday cruise, and of coz track days.
No No for my gf, she said it's tough to get into that car...
