i found a guy here selling an safc 1 for a great price, and i was just wondering what all i can do with it, and what exactly i can gain from buying this and installing it.

The car is a 1995 civic ex with a d16z6, aem sri, dc sports header, and a 2000 si stock exhaust.

 

What can you do w/ it? Alter your a/f on a dyno, monitor various settings (RPM, throttle position, fuel correction percentage, etc.), change VTEC x-over point. Do you need it? Most likely not right now but if you add on more "serious" mods in the future, it can help fine tune your setup.

 

this is an safc not a vafc.......

 

Then it's the same minus the ability to change VTEC x-over.
