Default Smell Gas & Bad Milage

My civic reaks of gas, i checked the lines, the filler neck and i changed the charcoal canister. But its still doing it???. what ever it is could b affecting my gas mileage, but im thinking that could just be the o2. If this has happened to anyone else b4 or u got any ideas id appreciate it

Are you sure your fuel injectors aren't leaking.

Im guessing bad fuel injector seals/o rings.

Well i dont think it culd be the injectors because i just put this engine in my car (blew a rod bearing on the old one )the car i got the engine form didnt smell like gas. Even when my car had the original engine in it (the blown up one) it did the same thing? How do i go about checking the injectors anyways? Its worth a try

start the car, open the hood and look at the intake manifold. Right around the flange if the manifold looks sorta crusty and brown and you smell gas real bad, or there are any puddles in the manifold you probably have leaky injectors.

Ok I did that there are no signs of a leak and you cannot smell gas under the hood? should i look at the sending unit?

Are you sure you have got a hole rusted into the gas tank?

get a stethascope and listen to the injectors they should be clicking constantly.....i jsut had this problem with my car and it was the injectors my car runs better and has so much more zip than it did before
