stupid brake creaking problem
99 ej6..
when i go to brake, i get a creaking/knocking noise.. goes away when i lift.. it usually happens when the brakes get hot.. it kind of sounds like its coming from the jack/half/intermediate/whatever you wanna call it shaft.. do they ever go bad? but why would it only happen when i brake? have you guys ever come across a problem like this? glazed pads or rotors? they're only about a month old..

are they feeling like they are throbbing when you slow down? mine made a clicking noise, and it was the rotors, they were warped.
Then after i replaced them they made a throbbing/pulsating feeling when i slowed down, then after i had to use my brakes heavily (locked them up) they worked fine.

Well new brake parts can go bad after a month if you did not give the parts a “break-in” period. I would say that always that you change rotors and/or pads you have to be easy on the breaks for at least 500 miles, at least that is my experience with the parts I purchased, just my 0.02c
I trashed a set of brembro blanks in about 5 seconds. they where brand new. 80 to 0 right after installing them no good, at least the dear lived. they are better tho after I have driven on them for about 600 miles.
