Skunk2 manifold into a b16a.
i need some help with my new manifold on a b16a. how do i re-route the fitv . since the skunk2 manifold doesnt have the section for it.Do i eliminate the fitv n direct connect the coolant lines to the block? some help would be nice and some links to pictures on it. thanks alot
I'm running Uberdata with an OBD-I ECU, so I can get away with removing the FITV. However, if you're on a stock OBD-O PR3/PW0 you may run into cold idle issues. The best case scenario would be to get an OBD-I throttle body, since it has the FITV mounted on it. You may also run into issues with the intake air temp sensor and the IACV.

??? Why would it make more power than Skunk manifold?
Of course, I still say the best bet is the AEBS Typhoon manifold.

yeah just junk the FITV and connect the small port nipple on the SK2 with the lower nipple on the Throttle body, where the FITV was originally connected by. Make any sense? Just run the line like it used to be but just pretent the FITV isnt there because its not.
makes sense thats wat i was planning on doing just wanted some info from you guys, you know get different opinions befor hand. its raining out here right now so i have to freaking wait till it stops so i can attack it again, hah cali weather suks

I agree the Tyhoon manifold is a good eal, its cheaper quality and known to crack it bolts are overtightned at all.
As far as the P30 making more power then the type r, skunk II, Venom, ans 1st gen B16 manifolds, it been both proven and dyno'd that the P30 have the most broad powerband on an all motor B16A engine. Both the type r and skunk had a slightly better peak power after 8400rpm, but the rest of the powerband was owned by the B16 model. There are other threads on this in the archieves.
