wondering if anyone knew which intake manifold is better the z6 or the y8?

ive heard that the y8 is better but i wasnt sure if it was just personal opinion or fact.

and the other thing was are all D series header's interchangable?

All Dseries headers are interchangeable.

And about the manifold, people swear by the Y8 Mani for the Dseries, but I really dont know the facts.

 

thats what i think too but im going to try and find more about it ( the y8 intake mani)

but thats what i thought as well about the header cause i bought a header for my d15 and then i installed it and everything went smooth and i glanced at the box and it said d16 i was like wait a sec.... haha

z6 will probably *slightly* outperform the y8 in the upper rpm range, while the y8 will give you more power in the daily driving and midrange rpm's.

 

No hard, conclusive evidence as to how it affects output, but good information nontheless:

basically what jlacoy82 said is the general characteristic.

As a side, if you already have one or the other it's not really worth buying the other to get better performance. Just keep the one you have and be happy.

i wasnt sure about it cause i just talked to someone last night and they were really insistant that i get a y8 IM casue its so much better. so i wasnt sure

im getting the z6 so ill just stick with that thanks again guys
